J. V. and Freshmen Pull Their Own Weighf on Fulleourf The Junior Varsity and Fresh- man basketball teams had a suc- cessful, and enjoyable season in the eyes of the players and coaches. It was a totally new game of basketball for the play- ers. For the first time at Ike the girls were playing fullcourt, instead of the old halfcourt rule. This involved more running and harder workouts. The players discovered that it required even more concentration on both offense and defense. The JV team wound up the ... .. . The players felt that this was great because it was their first experi- ence with full court basketball. The Freshman team had a 4- 15 record for the season. They defeated Santa Fe, McArthur, Katy, and Navosota. These victo- ries kept their spirit up through- out the season. Varsify Baseballers With high hopes for an outstanding year, the Varsity Baseball Team's dreams ot going tar in District play slowly faded as the last games ofthe season came upon them. The team, under Coach Champagne, put out another exciting year for Eagle fans, with possibly the best group of seniors ever to come out of Eisenhower aiding the Sluggers through their season.
