Physical Education Department Fizz-Ed Sharpens Athletic Skills Good ol' fizz ed. adds pizzazz 1 to gym classes and provides for the enrichment of the student's knowledge and ability in different sports. The course covers a wide variety of activities, from foot- ball to four square to volleyball. The period starts off with some warm-up exercises and then into the particular activity. The instruc- tors explain the activity, teach the different rules and then allow the student to play. When they are not covering a certain activity they have a free day for students to explore any area of P.E. that they wish. 1. Girls assist each other on the balance beam at Old lVlain. 2. Science Deportment Students Prepored for o World of Technology The science department has grown quite large in the past 25 years. A variety of courses are offered including physical science, ecolo- gy, biology, and physiology at Old lVlain plus chemistry and physics at Campus. The department is set up to accomodate many levels of intelli- gence ofthe student body. Both academically high and low stu- dents can take biology, chemistry or even physics. Lab work is an essential part of the science curriculum.
