Areo Choirmen Develop 21 8's Curriculum The position of area chairman was formed in 1973 to take the place of depart- ment chairman. Area chairmen in District 218 Work behind the scenes to keep the curriculum up-to-date. They supervise and advise faculty members in all five buildings on bettering instruction methods and improving educational criteria. This year the Area Chairmen have been occupied with preparing the curriculum for the new Shepard High School. They worked on scheduling changes for the campus buildings which will be on full day shifts in the '75-'76 school year. 2 Area Chairmen pictured are: 1.lVlr. Business Education Shorthand Lab Modernizes Program The newest addition to the business department's facilities is a shorthand lab installed to give students more efficient experience. The Business Department helps students learn many different skills, such as typing, shorthand, and bookkeeping. These skills prepare students to find clerical work or help them in their college education. Not only are girls taking these courses, but many guys are enrolled in business law, marketing, and retail selling. 1. An Old Main typing student works diligently during a timing.
