Athletes Honored for Achievements One of the highlights of each athlete's career is the annual sports banquets where all the athletes finally get their deserved recognition, Athletes for basketball, girls' volleyball and basketball, hockey and wrestling were recognized at the '74 Winter Banquet. During the Spring '74 banquet, baseball, girls' softball, track, badminton, golfand tennis were honored, For the first time ever the Fall Sports Banquet was held at the Crouching Lion Motor lnn, There were almost 500 people who came to see the athletes from various sports including cross-country, girls' tennis, golf, and football. The guest speaker for this year's banquet was Mr. Gary Huff, quarterback of the Chicago Bears, The Booster Club made its presence known with the now familiar red and white hats that they give out to the athletes at all banquets. 1, Donna Lopez accepts captain award for 1974 girls basket- ball from Coach Mosier, 2, Denny Moore and Henry Poole share most valuable player award for wrestling 1974, 3, Hockey coach Mr, Sands hands out Metro League patches to Mark Koehler, Ed Hoger, and Art Fotopolous, 4, Bill Erickson, assisted by Coach Kurt Emzminger, displays the trophies for most valuable defensive player and most valuable player which he received for 1974 basketball, 5, This year's most valuable defensive player award for football is shared by Jim Cavallini and Pat Hanlon with Coach Budzik, 2

Athletic Deportrnent ond Booster Club Work Together The Booster Club and Athletic Department work together to promote sports activities. They help with the Fall Sports Pre- view and banquets where they hand out letters, certificates and hats. The athletic director is Nlr, Lokanc and Booster Club officers this year are: Pres. Verne Lentz, Vice Pres. Tom Darcy, Treas. Edna Seyl, and Sec. Ann Woike, 1. Debbie Swinehart and Laurie Krueger receive hats and letters from Miss Long and Booster Club member, Nlr, Elsner, 2, lVlr, Klut- charch gives certificate and hat to Louie Reginelli, 3, Nlr.
