Vorsity Bosketboll Cogers Lock Size This year's team didn't win many games, but SICA North has the best teams in the south suburbs mak- ing D.D.E's competition that much tougher. The Cards just didn't seem to have the personnel this season. Although they were out-sized every- where, there were a few close games, D,D.E, only lost to top rated Thornwood by two Q36-34l and Sandburg nosed them out 38-36. Nlost people feel that if the Cards could get a big man they would take a back seat to no one. Soph. ond J.V. Cogers Goin E peruence Sophomore and Junior Varsity basketball is the preparatory stage for athletes who want to com pete in varsity action. This year's Sophomore Basketball team was coached by lVlr. Scaletta and the J.V. team was coached by lVlr. Don Nesbit D.D.E. competes in the S.l.C.A. North Confer- ence, one that is top rated in the state, and the Cards have not been doing too well. However, the development of these young athletes will provide them with valuable experience and D.D.E. with future cage stars. 1.
