Top Moth Students Also Tops in Service Euclideans are math students who must be taking geometry or some form of a higher math course, Their purpose is to serve as waiters for school func- tions. They are pictured in photo lil serving punch at Homecoming in their white suits. This club was founded in 1955 and has had successful results. Their main project is the big banquet at the end of the year. Pictured are: Greg Andricopulus, Tod Erickson, Wayne Hardy, Sheryl Hilligonds, Tim Savino, Kevin Stephenson, Dwight Kuzanek, and sponsor Nlr. Woj- 1 ton. 2 Nlathletes are gifted students who try to learn topics beyond 3 what is covered in regular math classes. One of the major con- cepts of this group is that they try to do the learning on their own. They participate in six contests a year, which are between the 18 schools in the S.l.C.A. con- ference. They give awards to top members. This club started 2k years ago and last year was their first complete year of competition, Requirements for membership are that you have advanced math ability as well as determination to learn on your own. lVlembers are: l3l Melissa Smith, Maryann Danal- ewich, Norma La Roach, Janice Baldwin, Karen Erickson, Terry Papineau, Sue Bojarski, lVIary Saindon, Tim Savino, Dwight Kuzanek, Linda Roach, Bruce lVlalm, Greg Andvicopulus, Wayne Hardy and sponsor, lVlr. Pep Club is an organization of students who try to promote school spirit at Old IVlain. Although it was a small group this year, that didn't seem to stop them from coming out and cheering for our Cardinals. They sold pins, pennants and programs before most games. 3. lVlu Alpha Theta is a math club which competes in math contests and helps the students at Old lVlain in math clinics. The club's main purpose is to install keener interests and enjoyments in math. They also are preparing themselves for college and possible math scholarships. lVlembers are: Shelley Davis, Norma Lalfioach, Annette Lepellere, Bruce lVlalm, Cheryl Wierman, IVlr. Bolton, sponsorg Dwight Kuzanek, Mary Saindon. T.A.G. demands participation as its only requirement and is one ofthe largest math groups at D,D,E, The club has candy drives, math contests, visits universi- ties, and even tutors math clinics. lt is open to juniors and seniors. i3i One of the group's efforts was their float for the homecoming, Nlembers are: Carrie Ceja, Melissa Smith, Sheryl Fujimura, Sheryl l-lilligonds, Nlaryann Danalewich, Alica Soria, Norma Lalfioach, Janice Baldwin, Karen Erickson, Terri Papineau, Sue Bojarski, Laura Lipki, lVlr.
