Compus Student Council Boosts Femole Membership Campus Student Council ended the 1973-74 school year with a bang when they held a rally in the cafeteria to raise money for muscular dystrophy fund. A great hit with the students, Shamrocks Against Dystrophy was sponsored by WLS radio station in Chicago. Annual Homecoming activities for '74 kept the Campus and Old Main Coun cils busy upto Oct. 19. This year's theme was 2001 and a record number of 500 people attended the dance. Although not as active as advisor Miss Findorff had hoped, the Council used the remainder ofthe year working on plans for a student commons area and obtaining an announcement board for the front of the Campus building. Members also sold Jerseys and carnations to raise money. 2 1. Lead singer for Jubal , Joe Benson, en- tertains students at the Homecoming Dance. 2. Apothy Grips Old Moin Student Council An appreciation luncheon was held last spring for the faculty. Presented to them by the Old Nlain Student Council members, the teachers ate sloppy joes and munched on potato chips. The event was greatly en- joyed by the faculty due to the hard work and thorough planning by Council members. This year the Old lVlain Council has not gotten it's feet wet. After work- ing on Homecoming plans with the Campus students, many ofthe soph- omore members quit. An election was held to re-elect sophomores and to elect new freshmen members. However, the student body reacted with little enthusiasm. 2 Y u -. i i 3 1. Nlr, Sands appears to be enjoying his sloppy joe that was served at the Old lVlain faculty luncheon, 2.
