Spirit Alive in '65 As we come to the end of another year at Eisenhower, a choice awaits us: either we continue our schooling or we pursue our vocational interest. Those of us who continue our schooling will either return here to Eisenhower or will go on to the college or university of our choice. Those of us who do not con- tinue our schooling will work to attain other projected goals. Despite our plans, we'll never forget the spirit of 65 . Spirit Alive in 65 is the motto the Student Council chose this year. We worked to bring the spirit to an all time high, which we did. But the credit does not go to the Student Council, it goes to the Student Body. Everyone supported pep week, sold candy, and attended Eagle events. With ambition as our foundation, we painstakingly built our year into one of excellence. We sought excellence in academic fields, excellence in athletics, and excellence in extra curricular activities, music, and student government. Our students gave of their loyalty, our faculty gave of their knowledge, but surely no one'gave more than our principal Mr. Keegan. He eagerly listened to our views, supported our projects and encouraged us to strive forward in our academic studies. Mr. Keegan taught us to never be content with mediocracy and without him the success of this year would not have been possible. Those of us who receive our diplomas leave behind many obligations and responsibilities, to the classes of 66 and 67 . It is your responsibility to continue the traditions and precedents which are set before you, to strive for excellence in all fields. If you do this, Eisenhower will continue to grow and prosper as it has in the past. Each new ,year brings about new problems. To overcome these problems is the role of leadership-able leadership. On behalf of the Student Council, thank you for the honor of allowing us to serve. As for myself, being your ASB President has been the greatest honor of my life. Time will pass and high school will become a whirlwind of memories but the loyalty and spirit of 65 will linger on. Student Council
