AL KEEGAN, PRINCIPAL Princaballv Message When asked the question as to what was the greatest gift America gave to the world a professor of mine stated, i'It was the little Red School House. The implications of this statement are far reaching. We in America were the first people in the world to give every boy and girl an education that was both free and public. Centuries later many nations have not yet realized the opportunities that public education provided for the individual and his nation. True, we have left the idea of the 'little red school house' and our schools are larger and better equipped but the fundamental idea of public education has remained unchanged. We Americans give every young man and woman an opportunity to learn today for the future tomorrow. Our senior class has accepted the opportunity offered by public education and has gone on from academic success to academic success. I know that the years spent at Eisenhower High School have equipped you for a place in our American democracy. May your years ahead be successful and rewarding.
