QaiwQpealzs... The Spirif of '64. Time and again Those words have crossed The paThs of our lives. Each new Time They broughT added significance To Their already deep sTained impres- sions. WheTher scribbled aTop a mimeographed newspaper, yelled and cheered aT a pep rally, hopefully uTilized in a campaign speech, or simply exchanged by friends as They opTimisTically discussed The fuTure, Those words always conveyed The same meaning. NOT only was iT greaT To be an eagle, buT iT was even greaTer To be an eagle in The Class of '64, wheTher sophomore, junior, or senior. Yes, for mosT of us, high school was a ioyous and memorable Time of life, We were in an age of anxieTy and discovery, yeT we were also in a carefree age. We were carried on an exciTed and TurbulenT sTream, rushing away from childhood and crashing on inTo maTuriTy. We musT now look ahead To our fuTure aims wiTh opTimism and courage, anTicipaT- ing each new day as a challenge and advenTure. LeT us always realize and absorb The impacT of each new experience, for some day, or even now, we mighf be looking back To Soy, .-Where has iT all gone? The Rough, ReclT'ww SepTember, 1961 . . . June, 1964. ThaT has been our high school life. There have Than As sophomores we wafched Mike Malody, Dennis Hancock, and Joe Parker whisTle John Blair, Debbie Hamre, Connie Holmes, Susie HosTeTler, and Eileen GarreTT were our played a Ten-minuTe, non-sTop solo . . . surfing was a sporT, noT a religion . . . Bill PoTTer, Susie HosTeTler, Frankie Marquez, Susie Kingry, Linde Williams, and Dixie, class . . . firsT aid kiTs were The rage , . . everyfhing was Soupy Sez . . . our junior' of The besT and The firsT held in The new gym . . . Those from RialTo Jr, High were finally As seniors, Tom MacDonald, Jim SToTler, Harry Bain, and Jimmy SchmidT were The Lynn Couch, Bill Dobberpuhl, and Sheila Coble became senior class officers . . . a car could all-nighT vigil over The class floaT . . . everybody yelled aT The firsT pep rally and The . . . The sighs of relief when The lisT of graduaTing seniors was posTed and worries abouT And Then . . . The long walk down The aisle which leads To Tomorrow . . , The mixed The hand which signifies The end of our high school career . . . These have been full years . . . alThough we will Travel forward in Time and gain sTill remains!!
