DR. BOHREN SPEAKS The challenges to American youth upon graduation from high school are many. These challenges become real only when the individual develops an awareness of the problems of society and a realization of how closely these problems are related to his own life. Education challenges a person through better understanding, to make a constructive effort to improve the society in which he lives. Each chal- l?BSCeImlSt he ,.SQDff9UfQil. .tSSlll?lQYi whether or not we like what meets our eyes. It is the educated citizen who must act to correct any unsatisfactory condi- tions in our way of life. The challenge is especially for the youth whose ideals are undimmed and who normally pos- sess greater courage and determination than do their elders to tackle difficult or seemingly impossible tasks.
