MM ADMIN: TRAnoN fi V-el 9. .gk- ' , ,iv-f' . . 1, 1 I 01 -. 'Q 4 Students of Edwin Mark- ham are always very thrilling to me. Some people have said that my position is an exceed- ingly difficult one. Yes it is. It is frightening when you think seriously that what happens now will have an ever- lasting effect on each Mark- ham student. Perhaps a less brave soul would shrink from this responsibility. Not Ig I enjoy it. I have faith in our younger generation. I gave faith in our fine coun- try. I want Markham students to make a creditable showing in the future developement of this fine country. Mr. John T. Freeman Boys' Vice Principal with the closing of the 1961-1962 school year we take time to reflect upon the many memories of this year-for me, memories of happy times with few disappointing ones, memo- ries of many new friendships made and old ones strengthen- ed, memories of hard but sat- isfying work with regret that there was not time to do more memories of many things learn- ed along with greater aware- ness of how much more there is yet to learn. I hope that other school next year, may I add my fond hopes for good years ahead - may you grow in love and understanding of.oth- ers as well as in satisfying accomplishments for yourself. To those who will be here a- gain next year, best wishes for an interesting and re- freshing summer recess and a happy new year at Markham! your memories will prove that this was a good and important year for you, too. To those who are contin- uing their education at an- Mrs. Elizabeth M. Prince Girls' Vice Principal
