Department Head German II ‘Ny French I, Il, il : FOREIGN LANGUAGE In our ever changing world, it becomes in- creasingly important that all people understand each other. It is hoped, therefore, that through the study of modern languages, we may help to bring about not only an international understanding through language but also an appreciation of the culture of other nations. E.H.S. offers three years of French, two years of Spanish, two years of German, and second year Latin. With the help of the language laboratory in the new addition, it is hoped that many more students may be able to widen their intellectual horizons through the study of languages. Newer methods of. learning French which the students seem to enjoy Working at the bulletin board in special education. MR. JACK OTT Special Education SPECIAL EDUCATION The Special Education Class provides individ- ualized instruction for pupils having learning dif- ficulties. Emphasis is placed upon the practical application of academic skills.

The soothing effect of pastel walls, fluorescent lights, and soft music creates an atmosphere of quiet study for the students who want to work there. The audio-visual area and faculty conference room area welcome addition. The new magazine storage space is especially appreciated by the students who’ have to write research papers.
