President JIM FLAVIN Vice President CAROL MARIE MAY Sec. Treas. NORMAN NILSSON s To tell the success story of the class of '44, one would have to go way back to the September of 1940 when this famous class first entered EHS. Little did we realize, as we walked up those front steps, that it was here that we would spend the happiest years of our lives. It was like entering a new world with the rush and noise of the crowded halls, but it wasn't long before we were adding to the hub-bub in our own meek way. But time flew and before long we were sophomores. We took part in a great many social and athletic events. The days went fast and before we knew it we were representing the Junior class at EHS. We gave a play and sponsored a very successful Junior-Senior Prom. We were on our way up and our junior year served as a dress rehearsal for the grand finale that was to come. And then it came, the day when we became the seniors of EHS. We took the role very willingly and continued to make a name for our class, but as the day of graduation grew near each of us began to regret that our school life at EHS was drawing to a close. It came at last and we left with pleasant memories to carry on in the world our success in school. E N I O R S 17
