elllltlllN1I'lIl4lDllR BRASS lltlllllSC'llt4lDlIRClf In the fall of '47, fifty-eight brilliant Freshmen were initiated into the Halls of Fame in A. C. I-1. S. with lipstick tall colorsj, persimmons fgreenb, and paper tied all over us. They even put all of our shoes on the stage Call mixed up'J and we had to go get them. We enjoyed two parties during the year. Mr. Hortin and Mr. Hart were our sponsors. Officers elected were Betty Brake, Presidentg Phyllis Boyles, Vice- Presidentg and Joanne Tribe, Secretary-Treasurer. Our Student Coun- cil member was Kenneth Stroup. Veda Shaw was elected at the first of the second semester for the next year. This year we had three cheerleaders chosen from our class. They were Betty Brake, Glenda Fuller, and Willis Cunningham. Later NV1ll1s resigned. When we were Sophomores in '48 we came back to E. C. H. with sixty-four members. We had lots of fun on a skating party in Olney. Our class sponsors were Miss Gould and Mr. Hortin. Officers elected were Gene Copeland, Presidentg Gordon Gillette, Vice- Presidentg and Wanda Coale, Secretary-Treasurer. Veda Shaw was a carry-over member for the Student Council and Gordon Gillette 'vas eleceted for the year. At the end of the first semester Suzanne Simms was elected for the Student Council for the following year. We had one cheerleader, Shirley Rister, from our class this year. The class of '51 started off the year with sixty-five members. Class officers elected were John Boewe, President, Phyllis Boyles, Vice- Presidentg Shirley Rister, Secretaryg and Nancy Davisson, Treasurer. Willis Cunningham was elected as Student Council member. Betty Brake was elected at the beginning of the second semester for the fol- lowing year. Mrs. Kershaw and Mr. Bunting have the hectic job of being our sponsors. We have two cheerleaders from our class this year, Wanda Coale and Shirley Rister. Suzanne Simms was Business Manager of magazine sales with Na-ncy Davisson as assistant. The Junior Class was divided into three teams with Kenneth Stroup's team winning. Maurice Shepherd was high salesman with 325350. Altogether the Junior Class sold 81,131.05 to be used for the year's expenses. To celebrate we had a party. b The junior class had the honor of having Lula Mae Wolfe and Gordon Gillette chosen as Queen and King at the Christmas Dance. Our class is looking forward to the Junior-Senior Banquet.
