Dedication This years 1986 Hornet is dedicated to Mrs. Reichert and the Edwards Central School. Mrs. Reichert arrived at E.C.S. in [1966 as a business teacher. She has I provided 19 years of dedicated service land has been involved in many extra- curricular activities during her tenure at E.C.S. We would like to thank Mrs. I Reichert for her years of dedicated service to both the community and the students lof E.C.S. We would also like to take this {opportunity to wish Mrs. Reichert many I happy years of retirement. The Edwards Central School has| I given us many fulfilling years. We will all cherish our fond I memories as we leave E.C.S. and enter into our new prosperous horizons in our quest for life long learnings. WE'RE THE STUDENTS OF ECS AND TO ALL OF US OUR SCHOOL'S THE BEST IN THIS BUILDING LIES OUR PRIDE AND FOR OUR HORNETS, WE HAVE TRIED TO DO THE BEST, COME OUT ON TOP I HOPE THIS PRIDE WILL NEVER STOP. WE'VE GROWN TO LOVE THIS SMALLTOWN SCHOOL AND IN THE PROCESS WE'VE LEARNED THE RULES. IN THE NEW SCHOOL OUR NAME MAY CHANGE BUT IN OUR HEARTS ARE WHERE THE HORNETS REMAIN. WHEN WE LEAVE OUR EYES WILL FILL WITH TEARS AS WE LOOK BACK ON OUR WONDERFUL YEARS. OUR SPORTS, CLASSES, DANCES, AND FRIENDS IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE IT IS COMING TO AN END. OUR MEMORIES ARE FOND, OUR FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT AS WE PLAY OUR LAST GAME AS THE GREEN WHITE. SOME MAY LAUGH AND SOME MAY CRY BUT THE HORNET SPIRIT WILL NEVER DIE. IT MAY BE A GOOD IDEA, IT MAY BE GOOD FOR US BUT IT IS IN THIS SCHOOL THAT WE'VE PUT OUR TRUST. WHATEVER HAPPENS I WISH YOU THE BEST 1 BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER THE PRIDE OF ECS? BY Mandy Watson

ADMINISTRATION It is a great pleasure for me to be able to write a short message to. the students and especially the graduating class of 1986. This is the last issue of the Edwards Central School yearbook and its important that we hold Edwards Central School and all it stands for in a very special place in our hearts. You should never forget the proms, class events, sports, trips, that very special teacher, the frolics, and I could go on and on. You should never forget the past and all of the wonderful memories from there but, now is the time to look forward towards the future. Your life is in the future. You must plan for the future and keep striving to reach your goals. Hard work is the only way you can reach those goals. Good luck to you all and thank you all. The 1985-86 school year has been my first year having the roles of both teacher and adminis- trator. This year has been excit-j ing, challenging, and extremely busy. The year started with the addition of ITV courses and con- cludes with the merger of Edwards and Knox Memorial. I believe that both of these changes will result in expanded programs and opportun- ities for our students, now and for many years to come.
