Student Brett Magee Yeh Gidday! (Hi there) My name is Brett Eric Magee, ‘Zeali’ or ‘Kiwi’ to some of you. I come from a small farming community which is about 8 miles from a town of 10,000, Whakatane, New Zealand. This area where I live is heavily into forestry as well as agriculture and there are two large pulp and paper mills nearby. I live with my Father, Eric Kenneth, who has a progressive business in the area. My mother, Marie Rigden, sells clothing domestically. My parents are no longer married to each other. I have two sisters who both live with my Mother. Toni Magee, is in the 10th grade and Cheryl Magee is in the 9th grade. Both go to Tauranga Girls College in Tauranga. In Edwards, I’m the son of Clifford and Mabel Davison, and the brother of Bryan and sister of Mabel Davison. I am really enjoying my time in Edwards. I do so love my American family alot. They have taught me so much with different aspects of American life and have helped me greatly to mature as a person. Some might think of Edwards as small, but you know what they say, “Big things come in small packages.” Well, I would like to thank everyone for making my A.F.S. experience possible and for the once in a lifetime opportunity that you have all given me. Special thanks to all of my friends, teachers, American family, A.F.S. and the class of 1985. Thank you to the Hornets and other people of Edwards, I love you all!!! c 1 a s s Seniors: From Left to Right, Row 1: B. Bullock, D. Gagnon. Row 2: S. Towne, M. Lennox, Advisor Mr. Buckley. Defensively, the Hornets, led by intimidating center Wes Zeller, are giving up a stingy 53.3 PPG. averaging 5.5 blocked shots per game. Zeller along with Rich LaPlant and Scott Zeller give E.C.S. one of the finest front lines in recent memory. Offensively, the Hornets are averaging 66.7 points per game with four men averaging double figures Wes Zeller leads the way with 17.4, followed by Gary Hall (11.6), Rich LaPlant (11.3), and Doug Matthews (10.7). Point guard Mike Lennox, currently ranks second in Division III with 6.1 assists per game. Gary Hall ranks first in the division with a 76.2 Free Throw Percentage, while Wes Zeller ranks first with a 59.3 Field Goal Percentage. The excellent shooting of guard Brian Davison and the defensive prow-ness of Marc Rushlo give Coach Minckler a very well rounded club. Although small in number, the Hornets will to win make this season a most enjoyable one. Lennox, D. Matthews, Coach A. Minckler. 47 Left to Right: M. Davison, D. Gagnon, T. Bullock, S. Towne, B. Sleep in heavenly peace! First lesson is in tying a shoe! Rock-A-bye Donny. Hey, I think he’s moving! For We Must Go I remember long ago that awaited day that came so slow. The bus pulled up and I got in, My whole new life would now begin. The kids I met are close friends now; together we made it, I don’t know how We learned the rights and wrongs of school; They taught us every golden rule. The times and hard work of every grade are brought to the isle by a two lane parade. Here we walk so tall and proud as we leave our old close crowd. These special times are forever gone, but in our memory to live on. I’ll always remember this special day, and the fun years along the way. As we leave our tears shall flow. Forget us not for we must go. We all will feel the pain inside, but when we leave we’ll leave with pride. Cheryl Murray Senoir Play Dentures slipping Mike? Use Polygrip!
