This is our way of saying THANKS to these four people who work faithfully everyday to clean up the litter that is left behind by 425 students and teach- ers. Their job is a thankless job that too many of us take for granted. Especially John-he has to be the plumber, electrician, boiler repairman, and any- thing else that he would be called on to do at any hour of the day or night. 4 Herb Hale George Watson Mrs. Typhair, Clerk-Typist; Mrs. Clintsman, Secretary Mr. Hunt, Elementary Coordinator and Guidance Counselor Mr. Do- herty, District Principal Mrs. Thornton, Teacher Aide 6 Mr. Juckett, French, English Mr. Ferris, Instrumental Music Mr. Ward, Science Mrs. Long, Home Economics Mrs. Farnsworth, Social Studies Mrs. Fuller, English Mrs. Charleson, Nurse, Health Mr. Antwine, Social Studies Mr. Hill, Industrial Arts 7 h Mrs. Reichert, Business Mr. Ballan, Science Mrs. Hance, Vocal Music Mr. Thompson, Math Mrs. Hurley, Reading Mr. Curran, Psychologist Mr. Nindl, Physical Education Mrs. Lashua and Mrs. Roberts, Cafeteria 9 Aren't I cute? THE VARSITY CHEERLEADERS this year were Melissa Whitmarsh, Cathy Minckler, Linda Davison, Annette Bras- sard, Sue Bullock, and Janice Ferry. Mrs. Mable Davison was their advisor this year and supervised their practices. The cheerleaders are working hard to raise money so that they will be able to send several girls to cheerleading school this summer, Good luck, girls. 12 JUNIOR VARSITY CHEERLEADERS: Susan Butler, Jessie Bressette, Shelly Davison, Melinda Whitmarsh, Sharon Gagnon, Kim McDonald, Donna Burr. 13 KNEELING: L. After loosing some key players last year, the Ed- wards Hornets had mainly a rebuilding year. They had a fairly even year, winning some good games and loos- ing some bad ones. With in- juries taking two key play- ers— Paul McFerran and Glen Sternisha, the Hornets finished with 4 wins, 6 los- ses, and 2 ties. Good enough for third place. The all stars were Bruce Jones and Tom Zaluski. Look at those muscles! 14 Is this the Ballet? KNEELING: D. Jones, M. Whitmarsh, S. Davison, D. Finley, M. Whitmarsh, D. Burr, L. Brassard. STANDING: K. Hughes, M. Davis, A. Morehouse, C. Minckler, Russell In- vader, A. Brassard, Coach Thompson, L. Davison, B. Barr, D. Finley. Donna, is that Brain Power? Looks like an Indian War Dance! The girls of Edwards Central finished this year's soccer season in first place in the Northern Athletic Conference, D-division with an undefeated season. During the course of the regular season, they compiled a record of 8 wins, no losses, and no ties, and in so doing scored an impressive 30 goals while only allowing 3. In their bid to defend the Section X championship, they defeated the girls of Harrisville in the quarter-final game by a 2-0 tally, but then lost a one-point shutout to the girls of Chateaugay in the semi- final contest. Again, the ever strong lady-booters finish a stront season with a lot of hard work, drive, and determination. Special recognition should go to All-Star team members Linda Davison, Annette Brassard, and Shelly Davison, and second team members Lynette Brassard, Melissa Whitmarsh, and Donna Finley. The Edwards Central School girls' soft- ball team finished the 1976 season with a record of 8-0 to give them the Northern Athletic Conference D-division crown. In post-season play they defeated the girls of Morristown by a 12-8 score to give them the C-D division title. In their bid for the Section X crown, they defeated Heuvelton 11-8 in the quarter final match, but then fell to Morristown 18-5 in the semi-final game. Overall, an impressive season for the lady Hornets. All-star members selected from the 1976 squad were Lynette Brassard and Melissa Whitmarsh. What a pose! Isn't this fun? The Hornets had a tough season this year. Their record was an even six wins and six losses. With Alton Bishop doing most of the mound work, he won six games and lost five. Jon Averill lost the other game. Jeff LaPlant and Mike Roberts did the power hitting and Tim Hartley and Alton Bishop did most of the base hitting. The All-Stars were Alton Bish- op, Mike Roberts, and Tim Hartley. ROW 1: A. Bishop, T. Hartley. ROW 2: V. Davison, C. Bressette, A. Webb, T. McFerran, E. Waugh, J. Averill. ROW 3: H. Waugh, D.
