PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE ¥0 SENIORS Your Freshmen days were wonder days, exuberant ones, as you conquered what you met. Your Sophomore days were boastful, as you felt your first meas- ure of responsibility and gloried in it. You had climbed to the second rung of the ladder. The class of ’51 had glided into your old places. Junior days? The best of all to the Juniors but not to you as Seniors, who alone of all the students, have ex- perienced the last stretch. These last days bring a sense of achievement yet a sense of opportunities lost. What a queer mixture! Then you remember ... June 1950. That’s your Commencement not the end. You go to take up your tasks here, there ,and everywhere, with renewed vigor and determination, that what Edwards Central School has given you, shall not have been given, but for her own glory. You’ll ever strive in some small way to repay what you can never hope to measure. So, to the classes of ’51, ’52, ’53, ad infinitum, you yield those things which make Edwards Central School your Alma Mater; her building, her personnel and her spirit. . .not to be surpassed. With your high school career over, look back with no regrets, and look for- ward with the gladdest of hearts and the keenest of anticipations to what you know is to come. Sincerely, james t. McFarland
