Bookkeeping, Office Practice, Typewriting Mrs. Ashton attended Lewiston High School, was graduated from the Auburn Maine School of Commerce and received her degree from St. joseph's College in Windham, Maine. She is faculty advisor of the Student Council, the junior Ring Committee, the junior-Senior Prom Committee, and the Carnival Ball Committee. She is treasurer of the Cafeteria Fund and faculty representative of the E. L. H. S. Parents' Musical Association. AIOHN M. BEALE, B.A. Szuilnming Coach Mr. Beale attended Shead Memorial High School and Hebron Academy. He was graduated from Bowdoin College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Mr. Beale is the swimming coach at Edward Little High School. ARTH I TR BELLIVEAU History, Head Coach of Baseball, Assistant Coach of Football, Coach of junior Varsity Basketball Mi. Mr. Boothby has been a member of the Edward Little faculty since l950. MRS. lil.llABl-1'l'H H. BOWEN, BA. Plane Geometry Mrs. Bowen attended Brockton High School. Brockton. Massachusetts, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colby College where she was a mem- ber of Sigma Kappa Sorority and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She has taken several courses at Columbia University. Mrs. Bowen has been a mem- ber ol the Edward Little faculty since l932. MRS. CLENICE BOXYIE, B.S. College Biology Mrs. Bowie attended New Gloucester High School and was graduated from Farmington State Teachers College with a B.S. degree. She has taken a correspondence course from the University of South Dakota and extension courses from the l'niversity of Maine. Mrs. Bowie has been a member of the Edward Little faculty since 1957. GRAYDON BURNS Machine Operations Mr. Burns was graduated from Morse High School, Bath, Maine. CARROLL, B..-X., M.A. Mr. Carroll attended Lewiston High School, was graduated from Bates College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and received his Master of Arts de- gree from the Columbia l'niversity. He is the director of the Audio-Visual Aids program. FRANK G. COOPER, JR., B.A. English and U. S. History Mr. Cooper attended the public schools of Beverly, Massachusetts: Shaker School, Sabbathday Lake: Pennell Institute, Cray: and received his degree from Bates College. He is the faculty advisor of the Debate Club. Mr. Cooper has been a member of the Edward Little faculty since l952. THELMA J. DAMON Latin Mrs. Damon attended Norway High School and received her education at the University of Maine, Bates College, and Hofstra College, Hempstead, Long Island. She has also attended several teacher training schools and has taken a number of summer and extension courses at the University of Maine. Before she came to Edward Little, she had previously taught in Kings Park, Long Island, and for I2 years in Maine schools. Mrs. Damon is the advisor of the Latin Club. PETER L. DIONNE, B.A. Mathematics Mr. Dionne was graduated from Lewiston High School and received his degree from Bowdoin College. He is an assistant coach of football. Miss HELEN F. DOYVNS, ns. B Home Economics Miss Downs attended South Portland High School, was graduated from Nasson College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics, and has attended summer sessions at the University of Maine. She serves as co- advisor of the F. H. A. Miss Downs has been a member of the Edward Little f-,47 faculty since l949. LINWOOD L. DXVELLEY, B.S. Science and Physical Education, Director of Winter Sports Mr. Dwelley attended Maine Central Institute and was graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He is proprietor of the St. Croix Voyageurs WVilderness Canoe Trip for boys. Mr. Dwelley came to the Auburn schools in l930. MAXWELL M. ERSKINE. BA., M.l-ld. Chemistry Mr. Erskine attended secondary schools in Easton, Maine, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and his Master of Education degree from the University of Maine. He is the business advisor of the Oracle. Mr. Erskine has been a member of the Edward Little faculty since l952. STEPHEN AUGUSTINE EVANOFF, JR., B.S.Ed. l'. S. History and American Society Mr. Evanolf was graduated from Stephens High School and received his degree from the University of Toledo. He has attended summer sessions at the University of Maine. He serves as backlield coach for football and assistant basketball coach. Mr. Evanoll has been a member of the faculty since l958. 15
