Did graduate work at the University of Vermont, and at Bates, where she received the Master of Arts degree. Came to Edward Little in 1915. Faculty adviser of the Latin Club. MRS. AMY B. ASHTON Business Machines, Ogice Practice, Typewriting Born in Lewiston, Maine Prepared at Lewiston High School. Was graduated from the Normal Training Course at the Auburn Maine School of Commerce, Au- burn, Maine. Attended the summer session of the Auburn Maine School of Commerce in 1948. Taught at Standish High School, Sebago Lake, Maine, before coming to Edward Little in 1948. She is one of the faculty advisers of the Student Council. Serves as treasurer of the Cafe- teria Fund and as faculty representative of the Edward Little High School Parents' Musical Association. JOHN M. BEAL, B.A. Swimming Coach Born in Eastport, Maine. Prepared at Shead Memorial High School and Hebron Academy. Was graduated from Bowdoin College, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Swimming Coach at Edward Little since 1945. ARTHUR J. BELLIVEAU, B.A. History, Baseball, and Football Born in Gardner, Massachusetts. Was graduated from Gardner High School, from Cushing Academy and from Bates College. Served four years in the Army before coming to Edward Little in the spring of 1946. Attended Clark University Summer School. PAUL BOOTHBY, B.S. Related Work and Meehancial Drawing Born in Auburn, Maine. Prepared at Edward Little High School and Gorham Normal School. Attended extension courses and summer sessions, receiving his B.S. degree from Gorham State Teachers' College in 1952. Taught school in Waterville and Northeast Harbor from 1934-1942. Did defense work from 1943 to 1945, and worked as an experimental machinist from 1945 to 1948. Taught at Webster Junior High School from 1948-1950, and has since been at Edward Little. 10

MRS. ELIZABETH H. BOWEN, B.A. i Mathematics Born in Manchester, New Hampshire. Prepared at Brockton High School, Massachusetts. Was graduated from Colby College, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. At Colby she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. Has taken several courses at Teachers' College, Columbia University. Taught at Morse High School, Bath, Maine, and at Ossining School for Girls, Ossining, New York, before coming to Edward Little in 1932. GRAYDON BURNS Machine Operation Born in Wiscasset, Maine. Was graduated from Morse High School. Operated the Andrews Machine Company from 1929 to 1939. He started the training for defense in 1940, under state supervision. He has been in the machine business for thirty years. He came to Edward Little in 1944. MISS EDNA M. CANHAM, B.A. English Born in Auburn. Prepared at Edward Little High School. Was graduated from Farmington Normal School, and from Bates College, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Taught in Auburn, Wilson's Mills, Stonington, Buckfield, and Kents Hill before coming to Edward Little in 1947. Extension courses at the University of Maine, and Bates College. Summer sessions at Bates and the University of Maine. Faculty adviser of the Station.,' Had charge of last assembly. RUSSELL D. CARROLL, B.A., MA. Typewriting and Bookkeeping Born in Washington, Maine. Prepared at Lewiston High School. Was graduated from Bates College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Before coming to Edward Little in 1937, he taught at Hodgdon High School and at Mapleton High School in Maine. Received his Master of Arts degree from Columbia in 1940. He is Director of Audio-Visual Aids and is in charge of concessions at the games. ROBERT P. CHAPLIN Assistant Music Director Born in Auburn, Maine. Was graduated from Edward Little High School in 1937. Attended New England Conservatory from 1947 to 1950. Majored in Arranging and minored in Woodwinds. Special studies in Mouth- piece Technique, Chicago 1941. Worked with various dance orchestras in New England. Studied bassoon with Ernest Panenka, Boston Symphony. Individual Instructor in Athol, Massachusetts. 11
