CLASS OFFICERS President: Gary Rhodes Vice President: Benny Corn Secretary: Sandra Lyda Treasurer: Brenda Hathcock Reporter: Diane Laughter A SALUTE TO SENIORS ’68 With the coming of May, 1968, a group of young people will leave EHS to go their separate ways. Since entering the freshman class four years ago, the graduates of ’68 have experienced many new and exciting high school adventures. As freshmen and sophomores the class worked together in sports and other activities, striving to win the respect of the idolized upperclassmen. As juniors, they made history at EHS when they revived the old custom of presenting a class play. After solving innumerable problems, they produced a successful three-act comedy entitled, “Butter on the Bacon.” Early in the spring everyone was thrilled at the sight of his new class ring! “Some Enchanted Evening” was the theme for the Junior-Senior prom, a memorable event for all. At last, upon returning to EHS after summer vacation, they were seniors! This last year has sped by. Sen¬ iors have worked diligently to sell magazines for their trip to Washington. Graduation is virtually upon them. When it is over, they will have come to a parting of the way. The gay, carefree years will be gone. They will be faced with new and bigger responsibilities. But the challenge these new experiences will bring will make the parting less melancholy. SHELIA MAE ANDREWS “The endearing elegance of fe¬ male friendship.” LINDA MARIE BARNWELL “The books I read and the life I lead are sensible, sane, and mild.” 12
