Distributive Education Club The DECA Club has.been very active this year. They participated in the Youth Leadership Area IV Conference where they won many honors. Diana Prochaska won in job interview, Virginia Holloway in sales demonstration, Shirley Kubena was lst alternate for the outstanding girl, Donald Egg was lst alternate for the outstanding boy, and Lana Jo Branham was lst alternate for Sweetheart. George jurica participated in Business Speaking. Members who won first place and the alternates went to the state conference in Fort Worth. Hats off to the DECA Club for their achievements! Chapter had a very active year, with participation in many diferent areas. They took part in the Dist. leadership con- test, and the livestock judging events in Houston and San Antonio. Bar- bara Warburton was elected Dist. Sweetheart, and was runner-up in Area, for which we were very proud. The chapter produced five Lone-Star Farmers for the year: Gene Kallus, Darrell Sklar, Wayne Hunt, David Marthiljohni, and Charles Davenport.
