THE BLUFF SENIOR CLASS POEM We're the Senior nurses of '27 Fourteen in all you sees- We're always in for any good time When from duty we are free. Our President, Miss Allen, tho- She's better known as Liz , Her motto now is Westward Ho! We wonder why it is? Knight and Martinson, room mates true On third they chance to stay. You find them with their earphones on, Bc it night or be it day. She has a lot of dignity And still they call her Jo, Hinton's future's rather hazy-but, We bet she'll make the dough. A jolly nurse full five feet ten, In weight she'll surely win, Miss Binder weighs two hundred now, She never will get thin. Miss Adamson with tresses long Has a smile for everyoneg She does her best, when duty calls And never' lacks for fun. Our Billie Adams with hair of gold Some think she's very clever- For men may come and men may go But Bill talks on forever, Our little Jess is full of pep, Miss Wortman needs a horn To waken all the sleeping girls At six-fifteen each morn. Miss Culver with her eyes of blue Has vamped oh! many a man, To think of a song she cannot sing, Just try it if you can. Miss Schulze is from a western state, And never makes much noise But we think it's really fair to say She likes our Iowa boys. She does her work with all her might, Miss Paschal's not afraid To aid a doctor anytime Or make a kitchen raid. Miss Johnson with her snappy eyes, And nifty boyish bob, They say she talks an awful lot But she'll tackle any job. --1S--

THE BLUFF CLASS WILL Know All Doctors and Nurses by These Presents: That we, the Class of 1927 Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital Training School for Nurses, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Pottawattaniie County, do hereby publish our last will and testament:- We wish by this to make void any will or promise formerly made by us. Upon leaving this world of knowledge, in which we have developed a chronic hyperability of the brain, we bestow upon our many friends and benefactors these few treasured gifts. Knowing their virtues we feel that we are most capable of placing them where they are most needed. We have endeavored to show no partiality in their distribu- tion. As a Class: To Miss Shively, our Superintendent, to the faculty and supervisors we do be- queath our sincerest affections, undying respect, much gratitude, and a great mort- gage on our life before us. Upon Mrs. Van Patton we bestow a carefully made invoice of Home properties, that she may the sooner detect the presence of any Hospital property in the Home Parlor, Bedroom or Bathg also a pair of roller skates that she may more readily re- store it to its proper place. We are leaving our fellow students with much sorrow in our hearts, but do pledge to them our deathless friendship, with pleasant memories of our past associa- tions in the years to come. We bequeath the keys to the kitchen to anyone able to secure them from the die- tition by fair means or foul 1We've tried both of no availj. In order that we may assure ourselves that the Bluff will be published annu- ally in years to come, we give its most ardent booster, Dr. Donald Macrae Jr. to the Intermediate Class. fPlease treat him with due kindness and respectl. Our coveted right to the new Nurse's Home goes to the Intermediates and our old rooms to the Juniors and coming probationers. Lucille Langworthy, Margaret Hartwell, and Gwendolyn Still. tThis limited number should be kept in at least two nights a weekj. For those who fail to profit by the preceding paragraph is left an unused copy of How to Enter Nurse's Home by Fire Escape and Basement Windows.
