The J. V. attack was led by Bill Shurlow, Daryl Bigler, A1 Hicks and Bob Telfer. The greatest climax in the season was beating Coach Noud's former high school, Lake View 32-27. Coach Noud will be losing four sophomores but have many freshmen who will present a good ifnot a better season next year.

VARSITY BASKETBALL Kneeling-Paul Curtis, Jerry Wegner, Bruce Hatinger, LeeRoy Beardslee, Standing-Coach Borton, John Kalnins, Dennis Cutler, Tom Shurlow, Don Shurlow, John Schaibly, Jerry Larson, Earl Hatinger, Jon Verplanck, Bob Shurlow, Manager, Led by high scoring senior Tom Shurlow, Edmore's 57 and 58 basketball finished with a beautiful record of 16 wins and 3 losses and a, share of the MCAA championship. In league play Edmore sion nine and lost one. The highlight of league play came when Edmore defeated Lakeview 42-41 in the remaining seconds of the game. Playing at Almafs gym before a capacity croud of 2300, Edmore's Paul Curtis shot a set shot in the last 20 seconds and swished it , putting Edmore ahea.d by one point. Thus winning this game broke Lakeviewfs record of 39 straight conference wins and the first time since 1954 that Edmore beat Lakeview. In the District Tournamentslildmore defeated Breckenridge and Shepherd to advance to the Regionals only to lose to a. well balanced West Michigan Christian squad 64-36.

The Junior Panthers were led by a short guy but a sharp shooter, Dean Hansen, who led the Junior High squad to a final record of 4 wins and 5 losses. Showing a lot of pep and energy the squad was lacking in height and ball control. High scorer was Dean Hansen with 101 points and followed closely by Bob Shurlow with 95.
