'QM of gl D I Edmondson' High's varsity basketball team finished its second season in fourth place with a 6-6 league record. The Tribeas crowd pleasing season reached its peak in the second round Loyola game fat homel. Coach Elliottls five played possession ball which held the Dons to a 34-28 victory. Late in the season the squad staged two consecutive ucome from behindl' triumphs. At City, the Bed and White rebounded for a 54-49 win. Forest Park provided surpris- ing opposition until ball-hawking co-captain Sam Leishure and company Hpressedw their way to victory, 55-46. The Tribe set a team scoring record by conquering the Baltimore Institute, 85-20. The season was capped by the voting of Jim Rafferty to the second all-division team. Mike Cunningham received honorable mention in the M. S. A. balloting. Coach Elliott will face a rebuilding process next winter as Rafferty, Cunningham, Bob Gordon. Tom Bateman. George Bell, Rick Galiszewski, John Miller, and Clarence Smith are lost to the cap and gown.
