Sports World Fifth and ninth place finishes were turned in by the tennis and golf squads respectively. The tennis team finished with a 3-5 record. They beat Douglass, Mervo, and Southern. Individual stars were Doug Rollings, Cliff Palmer, Richard Byrd. and Mike Lawrence. Lawrence opened his rookie year with a victory in the opening Dun- bar match. He and Palmer will have to carry most of the burden of next year's squad since Rollings and Byrd graduated in June. At the beginning of the season, golf coach Joseph Heaps predicted one hundred percent improvement over last year's 1-8-1 slate. His clubmeni did just that by finishing with a 2-7-2 season. They edged Forest Park 616-.SM and smeared Towson Catholic 1116-16. Individual merits go to Ed Frey, Tim McFarland. Joe Miller, Harry Denis, and Ron Appler. Next season the Teemen will play without Miller and McFarland. VARSITY TENNIS-First row: R. Byrd, Coach James Norton, C. Palmer. Second row: D. Rollings, M. Lawrence. J.
