Winning our first football crown, the junior varsity title, was a glorious achievement. The performance of our band at half-time was as commendable as the magnificent teamwork of our victorious players. Our future journalists on the yearbook and news- paper staffs wrote their way to a first class rating in the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Contest. Senior was said here for the first time as the 85 juniors of last year became Edmondson's first graduating class. They received their rings, the first at Edmondson, at the Ring Dance in Octo- ber. Our growing student body of 1700 saw outstanding assemblies, formed new clubs and attended several orchestra dances during the year. Scholarship is always foremost in our school life. The Honor Roll tablet installed in the main lobby gives recognition to students who have worked hard and achieved high marks, Wfith our motto, Excellence Demands Sacrifice, to guide us, we will continue to step up to greater heights.
