H' if .f.4 3 We Look Toward The festively-decorated cafeteria welcomed the seniors and their dates for their first Ring Dance on October 3l, 1958. MufHed sighs were echoed through the glistening cafeteria as the l959 sen- iors received the rings which were to become traditional for Edmondson students. The first ring was presented to Lynn Heidecker, Senior Class president, by Mr. Carroll S. Rankin, our principal. Lynn, in turn, distributed the rings to all other seniors against a background replica ol' the newly-designed ring. The ring consists ol' a synthetic ruby sur- rounded by the name of the school. On the right side of the ring is the school seal mounted on leaves of laurel, while the left side contains a shield which depicts the varied curriculum of the school. This shield is resting upon a scroll which reads Truth, Loyalty, and Honesty. Late into the night, the seniors danced to the dreamy music of the Hi-Landers in the midst ol' winding blue and white streamers. This was one Halloween that was really a treat, ARNOLD WELSH-Intramural Basketball 3,45 Intramural Lacrosse 3,4. JOYCE I. WILLIAMS-junior Achievement 45 Badminton 4.
