Members of the Pen Pal Club, under the supervision of Mrs. Cota their advisor, corre- sponded with teenagers all over the world. Each member shared his letters with other members of the club. Its activities included regular weekend ski trips to Stevens Pass, and an annual trip to Mt. Baker at the end of the season. At the season's beginning, a bake sale was held. The proceeds from this sale helped finance the Mt. Baker trip. 24

Chairmen of the various Girls' Club committees, below, were Lori Graham, Karen Wallenberg, Roberta Kopp, Betty Zimmerman, Linda Ebersole, Pat Wilson, Margaret Below, one of the many times the extremely popular rooter ribbons were on sale. Knutsen, Sue Haggblom, Dianne Blume, Kathy Hen- drickson, Morey Priest, and Melvina Waltmire. l 'fm' Able assistants to the president were Dorothy Eastman, vice president, Kitty Medin, secretary, and Pat Messina, treas- urer.

Future Teachers of America was an organization for students who wished to become teachers. The club increased its size to fifty members. lts activities were comprised of movies, special speakers, and discussions. At the end of the year, the seniors were given the opportunity to teach in ci classroom for one day.
