CITA TI ONS MARY LEE SCACE Semor class presrdent assoctate ed tor of the Echo Qurll and Scroll secretary BARBARA CAMPBELL Letterwomen vxce presxdent Gtrls Sextet senor class vtce presrdent SHIRLEY CRAFT Grrls Club presr dent Torch bearer assocrate edrtor of 46 Wrreless MARY LOU IONES Ad Club presrdent Thespran vrce presrdent Letterwoman BARBARA DANIEL edttor of 47 Wrreless Torch bearer Qurll and Scroll RICHARD CHITTENDEN Torch presrdent Letterman Thesptan IIM HARRIS Student Body prestdent Letterman DON FINK Boys Club presrdent Student Body secretary Letterman GORDON IRVINE Thespran presrdent semor class presrdent Qutll and Scroll PETE HOFF Class presrclent rn IUHIOY year Letterman football captam SENIORS Wrth the pangs of ambttron surgrng through our verns the class of 1947 marched wrth books rn hand through the portals of EHS to begxn a journey wh1ch lasted four challengmg years We elected Rrchard Chrttenden to lead us and to work wrth us MISS Eula Curry who was then our class advtser After the f1rst few football games rt was easy to see that Pete Hoff was to be our outstandrng athlete The second semester Maynard Carlson was chosen as our presldent By sprxng school was getttng to be a routtne and summer vacatton looked very 1nv1t1ng In the fall of 44 we returned to our Alma Mater and of course we had to have an able p esrdent so elected Bob Lerghton Our class advtser thrs year was Mrs Hazel Davrs The student body was begmnrng to take nottce of u Barbara Campbells lovely votce was a thmg we were contrnually proud of Mary Lou Dunn was elected class presrdent for the second semester Our Junror year was one of mcreasmg ac1v1ty We had our class play ably dtrected by Mrss Marte Cowley who was also our cla s ad 1ser The play was a comedy mystery Its All In Your Head and kept the audtence frrst tn suspense then 1n st1tches Don Frnk who was elected secretary of the student body durlng our juntor year had an amazrngly low srngrng vorce wh1ch he put to good use rn boys quartet Pete Hoff was our class pre tdent both semesters that year The second semeste we had the junror prom wh1ch was a huge success We had the gym decorated lrke a south s a rsland Then we returned to frmsh our last year at E H S w1th Mrss Cowley aga1n as class advrser We had vtsrons of baccelaureate graduatton caps and gowns Then we felt certatn sadness that th1s would be our last year havmg to leave the school that had seen us through our trrals as underclassmen and our accomp11shments as upperclassmen Gordy Irvrne served as presrdent the ftrst semester We ordered our semor cards and announcements and were begrnnmg to reahze how soon we would have to leave our hlgh school We were frtted for caps and gowns and knew that th1s was one step closer to graduatron We had two student body prestdents th1s year frrst semester Don Steadman and second semester Irm Harrrs Mary Lee Scace was our class presrdent the second semester Along toward sprrng rt was trme for the sentor play a comedy Don t Take My Penny drrected by Mrs Marjone Murphy We all are lookrng forward to commencement the doorway to work college or some new accompllshment but no matter how busy we are there w1ll always be ttme to thmk about and apprectate those four glorrous years at Edmonds Hlgh School M O f 18 ' -, I at 4 .W p.
