U I U I In our contest work this year, Edmond High School competed entirely against class A competition. We have been active in many group events such as debate, dis- cussion, and one act plays. In individual speech work, Edmond speech students have captured many firsts at several tournaments and repeatedly placed at all of them. The main aim of the speech department this year has been diversity. Ov Making the best record of any school in the nation at the National Speech Tourna- ment in Denver, Colorado, were Loy Fer- guson, Vic Jackson and their coach Mrs. Smith. Here are two ot' Edmond's debate teams ra tic'n p c l 9 These are the other teams who are also debating for a tournament. They are: Bob Thomas and Pat each other. BOW The singing of Edmond Bulldogs by the Bow Wows aided the moral sup- port of EHS. We attended all home events, and three out-of-town events. During the football sea- son we had an exchange pep assembly with John Marshall. For this assembly we took the skit Dragnet , In the first part of March the Bow Wows presented 14 iackets to the lettermen. Then the first part of May we presented about 14 more. We worked hard sell- ing concessions to make money for these jackets, We, the Bow Wows, want to thank our sponsor, Mrs. Anderson, for her wonder- ful support and cooperation during the past year.
