Mn. ROYAL H. Swnm' Is there a boy at Edison that at one time or another hasn't come under your watchful eye? Certainly if anyone is tardy or absent, he gets to know you. Many a boy who has gone out on Co- op, or a part time job after school, or a good job upon graduation, can give you thanks for these opportu- nities. Your patience, under- standing, and friendship have helped many a boy through difficult problems. In addition to the many responsibilities above, you are in charge of the National Honor Society at Edison and all scholastic awards. MR. PAUL K. W. Si'-RINGER This year you were the first to fill the position of Administrative Assistant in our school. You have done a fine job in that capacity as you have done in your other jobs at Edison. In 1929, you first came to Edison as Librariang in 1949 you became Guidance Coun- selorg in 1951 you took the place of the Vice Principal for a- year, and this year you became Administrative As- sistant. Among your out- standing contributions to Ed- ison have been the establish- ment of the Student Court and the supervision of this activity for many years. 30454

MR. HOWARD S. BENNETT: After nearly , , forty years as principal of our school, your name p and Edison Tech are almost synonymous. Those who have heard of Edison have more than likely heard of the fine job that you have done. You have guided our school through four moves, from Edgerton Park, to School No. 22, to Bausch and Lomb, and finally to its present location. During these times the name was changed, but its purpose remained, to turn out useful citizens. Not only have you patiently heard and settled problems and grievances that have aris- en in our school, but you have also had the immense job of forming groups of boys of Widely differing backgrounds into a unified student body. We, the class of '55, as we graduate and start our Working careers, salute you who are now leaving, and wish you many pleasant years of retirement.

MR. HARRY J. SPRAGUE We of the upper class are not the only ones who know you well. With all your visits to the elementary schools in the area, you must seem like a good friend to the ninth grade and a still better friend to the tenth graders who have had a chance to work with you for a year. We realize that you are responsible for helping the ninth and tenth graders in planning their programs of study and for showing them the opportunties here, while also guiding them in becom- ing well adjusted members of the Edison student body and a credit to our school. gacdamce amwiicvz 53' Q J 49366 ffnsevzicfclflnfz MR. RICHARD H. PERCY This is your first year as our Guidance Counselor, but you certainly are not a stran- ger to our class. We remem- ber the help you gave us last year as class advisor in planning our Junior Prom. Since 1938, first as an En- glish teacher, now as Guid- ance Counselor, you have been part of Edison. Even with all the help and guidance you have given our class this year and the time you have spent with the year book, the Junior class was not forgotten by you as you guided them in to position to be the Seniors of next year.
