When the bell sounded at 2:00 p.m. on June 6, 1987, the halls were filled with screaming kids, old papers, mismatched gloves, shoes, etc... Everyone knew it must be the last day of school, which meant NO more books, teachers, or rotten lunches... NO more trying to think of excuses to tell Mac when she'd catch us in the halls. We are free now to go anywhere, at anytime. During summer vacation, not everyone gets to see their classmates or catch up on what they have been doing. A lot of people wake up with the sun, throw on a swimsuit or some shorts, and hit the beach for the day. After soaking up the sun the whole day, they find the big party, where everyone spends the rest of the evening. Everyone has had a great summer and everyone is looking forward to September for another great school year!!! Above Right: Colleen Ripley- Just hangin' around at Camp St. Croix. Below Left: Senior Guys- Juniors initiation to becoming the AWESOME SENIORS! Below Right: NgarThouk und friends- Having fun at Lake Pepin.

. w Homecoming was a .yuV W spirit-filled week. Each a day brought a different type of Tommie Spirit in the way the students dressed. Monday was Harley Day, where the students were dressed in black and leather, Tuesday was Nerd Day; Wednesday was Pajama Day, with the students bringing their favorite stuffed animal; Thursday was Hippie Day; and Friday was the ever popular Blue Gold Day. The variety show and coronation took place on Thursday. Tlic show was impressive and it was followed by the coronation of king Jim Simon-crowned by our last years queen. Tracy Petersen, and queen Paula Varichak-crowned by last year’s king. Jason Novak. The parade was held directly after the coronation with the Senior float taking first place in the float contest. Mac Luka was the parade’s Grand Marshall. The pepfest was held on Friday and the new gym was rockin’ with spirit. Everyone was excited about the football game that night against Henry and the dance that would follow it. The Tommies were pleased by the large crowd size at the game, which included parents and alumni, who showed up to cheer. The Tommies left the Patriots in the dust w ith a score of 14-7. Even though the night was bitterly cold, our Tommies fought a hard battle and won......
