Julie Neuenfeldt: The teacher that influenced me most was Mr. Wenzel. He taught me not only English but also self-discipline. I plan on attending the U of M (IT) for engineering. Ten years from now I see myself with a good career. a steady life style, and lots of friends to help me get by. I would advise freshmen to become involved in everything possible. Edison has a lot of opportunity and selections to choose from. You only have one chance, when high school is over you'll wish you had become involved. Christine Prokopiuk: There is no specific person or event that most influenced me during my time at Edison, but being a member of the danceline has helped make me a much more outgoing and confident person. After high school I plan on attending the University of Minnesota or the College of St. Catherine, majoring in accounting and minoring in computer science or Psychology. The best advice I could give to on incoming freshman would be to get involved in school, be inquisitive, and to keep in mind that you only go through high school once. Why not make these years the best they can be? Stacl Petersen: My parents are who I feel have been most influential to me throughout my years in school. They have always believed in me and supported me 100% n whatever I have done. After graduation I am planning on attending Hamline University to major in International Business Administration, with possibly a minor in psychology. I would like to encourage all freshmen to get involved m as many school activities as possible, but at the same time study vigorously and maintain good grades, because graduation will be here before you know it. Mark Gulenchyn: There was no one event that totally influenced me. It was a combination of different classes I enjoyed participating in. and the various teachers that made them enjoyable and showed they had confidence in my work. I would like to thank them for their support. After high school I plan on attending Tech, school. I win be studying in the field of commercial art at Mpls. Technical Institute. In ten years I hope to be a free-lance illustrator working on such projects as album and magazine covers, or work for a large comic book company. If I had the opportunity. I would ten an freshmen to take high school very seriously, because this is where your future is formed. I would also tell them to not take high school so seriously as to not enjoy it and have fun. Joanna Hoang: win be attending the U of M to begin an education in the field of medicine. My senior year is my most favorite memory of Edison, especially the friendly support from my friends, teachers, and counselors. Mary Krawczynski: The person who most influenced me during my time at Edison was Mr. Wenzel. He taught me a lot about life and challenged me togive 100% in whatever! did. My future educational plans consist of attending the University of Minnesota in the fan. I wm be majoring in accounting, with the hopes of becoming a C.P. A . I would like to work in Minnesota for a firm or company. The advice I would give to an incoming freshmen to make their high school years meaningful is to get involved — whether it be sports, clubs, organization, whatever. You meet new people, have a lot of fun and you can make use of your talents. 20 Servofs

B David Skavnak: The person is a friend, who I came to know around the beginning of my sophomore year. I just strived to be like him and to achieve higher than him. After high school. I pan to go to a private college, maybe in Texas. My major right now is in the field of engineering. Hopefully 'I be a chemical or mechanical engineer for a corporation like 3M or Honeywell. To an incoming freshman. I would say. do what it takes to moke high school, something good to look back upon. This means hard work at times, and achieving the highest of your abitity. I also think, the more involved you are in extra-curricular activities. the more enjoyment you'll receive from your school. Jennifer Tanner: To me it is important to keep an open mind and a smile with me at all times. My parents were the most influential to me throughout high school, and were the main source lor keeping my smile shining bright. Next fall I will go to college and plan on pursuing a career in the field of Business. In life, and in your high school years I believe you should never stop caring, stay young, always smile, and bring all the happiness you can into the world. Live today to the fullest, plan for tomorrow and learn from the past and others. While at Edison I discovered I love the fun and even the work of being involved, getting to know people, and talking with them. I believe that life is what you make it; it's not what we have — but what we use. Not what we dream — but what we do. My advice to incoming freshmen is: In life always SMILE! It makes everyone else wonder what you're thinking about. Michelle Warne: After graduating I'm going to study abroad for one year. When I returnlhope toattendtheCoHegeofSt. Benedict's and major in Spanish I would like to use it in teaching or interpreting. My interest in Spanish can be accredited to Sophie. She has had a lot of influence on me more than she knows She makes learning Spanish fun and interesting. She encourages you to get involved and be the best you can be My parents also had great influence on me. They back me m the things l do and they also encourage me to do my best and make a stand for myself. I think it's really important lor these people to support you. To incoming freshmen, get involved in anything you can. have a great time doing those things because it sure goes by fast. Good Luck! 22 Seniors
