7 1) All ready for the concert... right guys?! 2) Awaiting the start ot the East Side Parade 3) The Eiffel Tower of Tennessee, the Sunsphere 4) Fighting for the backseat. 5) The band performs in Knoxville. Tennessee 6) The low-brass gives it their all. 7) Loading the bus for Tennessee. 8) The drummers take a break 9) The 1982 World's Fair. 10) “How many chaperones can we fit in the bus bathroom? 11) First place goes to Minneapolis Edison. 11 After many months of hard work, the band finally headed south. On July 20th the busses rolled out of the Edison parking lot. Their destination, the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville. Tennessee Before the trip, the band marched in eight tough competition parades. They placed first in Forest Lake. West Saint Paul, and Delano. Second place trophies were awarded to them in the other parades including Minneapolis Aquaten-mal Grand Day Parade. The summer of 1982 is the best season on record and the trip was an unforgettable experience. 5
