4 As the trees turn colors and the temperature begins to fall, we know that it’s that time of the year; Homecoming! The week opened with Hat Tie Day. Some people wore hats, others preferred ties, and many had both. Jersey Day took place on Tuesday, which held all kinds of jerseys, sweat shirts, and even sweat pants. On Wednesday. Steve Kmit took first place in the spaghetti-eating contest. Thursday, there were alligators running all over, it happened to be Preppy Day. Ramon Campos placed first in the Tricycle Races. The Coronation was entertaining, suspenseful. and exciting. Dean Newstrom and Krissy Chester were 1982 1983 Homecoming King and Queen. The true colors appeared Friday when Paul McGovern won the Blue-Gold Day Contest, and during the Pep Fest the Sophomores received the Spirit Stick. Following the Pep Fest was the Annual Parade, which featured the winning float, built by the class of 1983. Hammer Henry was the theme of the game, and that is just what our football team did. The time ran out with Edison. 21 points: Henry. 0. 1) The rip roaring speed demons 2) The Senior Stomp 3) The Royal Court: J. Zahorski. M F Riley. J Brandt. L. Peterson, D Newstrom. K. Chester. M.
