Coach Jim Anderson We started our double drills last fall with a very green squad. We had 8 returning Lettermen Played Coon Rapids to open our season and were defeated 12 to 3. We made many green mistakes To open our Conference season we played against Southwest losing 20 to 16. This was a very good game and actually could have gone either way. Our turning point in the season was against North. We won the game 23 to 0 and really matured and started to play some football. We played our best game against Washburn and we then realized that we had a chance for the Championship. We wound up our season with a victory over Henry 27 to 0 and then had to wait for die outcome of the Southwest vs Washburn game. Southwest won it. which made us Co-Champs with them. Our league coaches voted Southwest to play the Twin-Gty amc on the strength of their victory over us. We enjoyed a very fine season. Our squad was very dedicated and loyal to each other and improved as much as any our coaching staff has coached here at EDISON. They arc a fine group of young men. — Coach Parsons J Felieetti J Wall D Kratka P Korman B. Sjwothki BACKFIELD CROSS-COUNTRY With only two returning lettermen we had our work cut out (or us. Ten Thompson and the rest of the staff, this book will become a classic. Thank you for being such nice people — Mel Pibal Being Editor of the yearbook turned out to be a challenge for me. It was both work and fun. Sometimes I felt like giving the whole thing up — but Mr Pibal and the rest of the staff always seemed to pull me through. They’re a great staff to work with. Sue Kozak — Editor-in-Chief Working on the Wizard Staff this year was a new and unforgettable experience. Through all the late nights and the days after school we've grown to be one big happy family. I hope this book gives you the same enjoyment as it gave me working on it. The memories of EDISON will live with me forever. Ten Thompson — Asst. Editor Sue icoaak. LoyAnn Anderson — Class Editor EPILOGUE There’s one roll of film left, which we have saved for spring candids. The tables arc littered with stubby pencils, rejected photos, and scrips of paper; all signs of hectic late nights and frantic last minute changes. The Wizard is as full and complete as we could possibly have made it. One of our eminent goals was to include a comprehensive view of what 1974-75 was really like. We tried to get personal comments from the people behind the action Another goal was to include activities which arc not completely self-contained within our walls but affect the lives of people at Edison. Lastly, we tried to emphasize the importance of being human. Its been a good year. . .
