This fact indicates for us the future. We have for some time been living in an age of change and revolutions. The revolutions have been made in the laboratory as well as on the streets. The changes have been so nerve-wracking, so new, so rapid, that we seem scarcely able to name this period in which we live. The future will be no different, yet that future becomes much more important than the past. The past has only provided for us experiences which, whether they were successes or failures, should offer us direction for our future. As one writer stated, Experience is not what happens to you; it is what you do with what happens to you. My charge to you is make the best of what the future holds for you. My wish for you is may your life be filled with success and happiness. VICEPRINCIPAL” C. ELIAS To the Class of 1972: Permit me to join your parents and friends in wishing you success and happiness in the years to come. You are among the three million students continuing training or entering the labor force this year at a time our nation is facing many difficulties. Our world is changing at an exceedingly rapid pace. For the next few years a great many of you will find careers in occupations that do not even exist today. It is our hope your school experiences will assist in meeting the challenges you will face. Good luck in your future endeavors. 164 VICE-PRINCIPAL” A. JOHNSON Education is a great asset to the youth of today. I am especially happy to have a small part of your educational experiences. It gives me special pride in being here at Edison. Working with today’s youth is a challenge and a rewarding experience. I consider it a great pleasure to work with parents, administration, faculty, and students here in Northeast Minneapolis. FACULTY MEETINGS arc hold every Tuesday, either by department, school wide, or in some cases city wide. Here wc caught the Edison faculty in somewhat of a somber state. 165 Mr. Anderson Mr. Babst Mr. Bates Mr. Bauman Mr. Becker Physical Education Industrial Arts Science Social Studies Industrial Arts Mr. Beckstrand Mr. Berg Mr. Bevans Mrs. Boutsioukos Mr. Brown English Physical Education Social Studies Spanish Art 166 Miss Branzell Mr. Burke English Spanish Mr. Carey English Miss Corcoran Mrs. Davis Business Education Social Studies Mr. Elavsky Math Mr. Dorendorf Mr. Doyle Industrial Arts French Mrs. Dzubay Mrs. Eckhert Home Economics English 1 7 Mr. Engel Miss Ferguson Mr. Geankoplis Mr. Greenberg Mrs. Hagen Physical Education Choral Director Social Studies Business Education English Mr. Hansen Mr. Harding Mr. Hannon Mrs. Horton Mrs. Hulbert Social Studies Industrial Arts Social Studies Home Economics English 168 Mr. Jedlund Work Program Coordinator Mrs. Kim Physical Education Mr. B.
