C lint-1 In the Edison string program there are three groups representing three levels of development. There is a beginning class, an intermediate class, and an advanced class. The string program is progressing and soon Edison will benefit by an enlarged and more exhaustive string set-up in the surrounding elementary schools. This will mean greater numbers of players prepared over a longer period of time and as a result a better Edison string group. Progress tovvards better methods of training is constantly being sought in order to bring about the maximum in thorough string training for all that de- sire to learn to play a string instrument. Occasional appearances by the advanced group add variety and interest to the year's work. uma. - .. . - . - Q.,-A MR. BAUER D. Sims, J. Johnson D Reavis L Lystig J W h S , I - , - , . ac s, . The Tommie Tones is a girls' choir limited to 48 voices, selected from the llth and 12th grades and a few advanced lOth grade students. The Choral Club is an advanced mixed chorus made up of llth and l2th grade students. Their work consists of both a cappella and accompanied chorus work. These three groups perform in assemblies and their Christmas and Spring Concerts. The Tommie Tones have sung on TV and also had some ex- change concerts. Editor, Neil Peterson, Advisor, Mr. Brown. dewfyma The 3 rings of a real circus, the 6 rings of this year book, and the multitude of rings which life holds, resemble each other in many ways. There is, however, one similarity which seems to stand out. Each one, in its own way, seems to possess a great deal of variety, So by using the circus we have attempted to show this variety. As we now finish this book, we, the staff, almost feel as though we had actually visited the Gircus and as we left, we were filled with nothing but fond memories of this book. mm-wa , , 41, FQQ.
