Act two began with everyone working on term themes and talks, but it wasnit all hard labor. The Winter Class Party was held at the Columbia Chalet on February 26, with Qary Berg's band playing. Next on the agenda was Operation Washington, D. C., our exchange trip with a Washington high school, which proved to be a rare and wonderful experience. Our second act closed with our annual Vaudeville, filled with hard work, and tears of joy and excitement. The third and final act got off to a flying start with our Senior banquet. Held on May 4-, at the Curtis Hotel, it was a sharp reminder of our coming graduation. Our big Senior Prom brought it even nearer, and as we danced that night at the Calhoun Beach Club, we realized that this was probably our last Senior social event. The days rushed by, crammed with last-minute study, and suddenly Bac- calaureate was upon us. This service, which we attended in our caps and gowns, introduced the climax of our entire play - graduation week. Prac- ticing for the 'big night, turning in books, and going to the class picnic took up all our time. At last came the finale of our play - Commencement! As we received our diplomas, the curtains closed on a year of work, excitement and fun-one that would never come again - our Senior Year. In .ik ,im X 5 ggi? . . As the curtain rose on the first act, we found SENIQR COORDINATOR-Mrs. Hhs' Pohlson ourselves at school, greeting all our friends. A 'few days later our foreign student. Chislaine Simon, arrived from Belgium. and in a short while she became a dear friend to all. At the Leadership Clubis weekend at lduhapi, we learned that living outdoors is really fun. Next came Sadie Hawkins Day, preceded by a turnabout week in which the girls chased the boys to tag them for the dance. Our Senior Class Play, Ramshackle Inn, kept us in suspense until the very end, when the murdereris name was finally revealed. On November 20, we took over Richie's service station for the entire day, in an effort to raise money for an organ for our school. The installation of an intercom system be- tween Dana Watten's home and Edison was our next project. It soon became a very natural and everyday occurrence to see Dana's green box in our classes and assemblies. Drawing the first act to a close was our annual Santa Claus Swing, com- plete with a beautiful frosted Christmas tree, and, . S of course, Santa himself. J. Sawyer and G. Morin sign the guest book at our Junior Prom. 7 was-,4 SENIOR ADVISORS-Row 'l: Miss Choudek, Miss Torneyp Miss Simmons, Miss Ramswiclr, Mrs. Pohlson, Mrs. Tillotson.
