With their help the Council has ren- dered many services to the school. The girls at Edison are tor' tunate in having Miss Ross, Miss Rarnswick, and Miss Albinson as advisers ot their clubs the Forum and Silver Tri. These teachers find joy in instructing sophomore classes in geometry and English. Community Civics and history help students to gain an intelli- gent understanding ot the so- cial, economic, and political con- ditions ot the past and present. Teaching these subjects is the work ot Miss Ballou, Miss Peter- son, Mr. Ahlstrom, Miss Erb, and Mrs. Tillotson. Miss Peterson and Mr. Ahlstrom are former managers ofthe assemblies. E The Fun Edisonians have heard and enjoyed in assem- olies, operettas, athletic games, and vaudevilles music perfected with the assistance of Mr. Lunlcley, Mr. Sod- erqren, and Mr. Ranks. Mr. Lunlcley directs the hand and orchestra, Mr. Sodergren leads the madriqal and choral groups, and Mr. Ranks teaches harmony. During fourth period every day Mr. Oas leaves his biology class and Mrs. Curry her community civ- ics class to he on duty in the lunchroorn. There they maintain orderly conduct. Miss Lee, as manager of the school cafeteria, provides a variety of food for the students. Home economics is taught hy Miss Ford, Mrs. Luther, Miss f-liclcolc, Mrs. Benner, and Miss lacoloson. Girls are taught how to sew different wearing apparel, how to cook appetizing meals, and how to balance a hudqet. To oecorne efficient housewives and qood homemalcers is the objective of this course.
