Mrs. Simmons is the adviser ot the Key Pen Club an oroanization for commercial enthusiasts. Mrs. Schellenberq sponsors a qirls' horse- back riding club. Mr. Barrett and Mr. Benner have shown their in- terest in science by teaching biology and botany and supervising clubs which promote student interest in scientific work. Mr. Benner has charge of the qreen- house and Mr. Barrett the lunior Academy ot Science. Mr. Barrett is also the lanuary senior class adviser. AS YOU LIKE IT llditli Gillies, Floxonce Fisch, Alicc lfitinzwi Through the efficient work of Miss Fisch, Miss lohnson, and Mrs. Gillies, students at Edison keep up to date on their school news. Mrs. Gillies spends a great deal of her time in making our school paper the good Record it is. Miss Fisch and Miss lohnson are capable advisers of our annual. They also teach Eng- lish. Students are allowed to develop their artistic ability in art classes under the teachings of Miss Toohy and Mrs. Wedum. Beautiful paintings and pottery are made. The more talented students are allowed to paint murals. Edison attributes its prestige in to the work of the coaches and supervisors of the different sports. Mr. Guzy is the coachg Mr. Palm, the athletics football sophomore football coach: Mr. Parkins, the basketball and base' ball coachg Mr. Pile, financial sports adviser and hockey coach: and Mr. Mankowski, as- sistant football coach. They teach history, math, gym, phy- sics, and English, respectively.

X Think and Mr. Green, Arnerican history teacher, and Mrs. Burr, ciologv teacher, are enthusiastic advise ers oi the Student Council. With their help the Council has ren- dered many services to the school. The girls at Edison are tor' tunate in having Miss Ross, Miss Rarnswick, and Miss Albinson as advisers ot their clubs the Forum and Silver Tri. These teachers find joy in instructing sophomore classes in geometry and English. Community Civics and history help students to gain an intelli- gent understanding ot the so- cial, economic, and political con- ditions ot the past and present. Teaching these subjects is the work ot Miss Ballou, Miss Peter- son, Mr. Ahlstrom, Miss Erb, and Mrs. Tillotson. Miss Peterson and Mr. Ahlstrom are former managers ofthe assemblies.
