RUTH FITCH COLE In Memoriam She loved the pine that reaches for the sky. The frail arbutus creeping in its shade, The rocky trail that winds to shelters high. The sandy promenade the tide has made. She loved the mournful crying of the loon, The whispering of the night birds in the nest, The shadow of the heron against the moon. The sweet content of a tired child at rest. But most she loved the eagerness of youth Who bend with faith to common daily tasks; To them she gave the flaming flag of truth-Truth unadorned, honesty without a mask. Now though she's gone all Truth to know at will, The perfume of her presence lingers still. Pago 8 Vesta Seaman.

The following pages will give more than adequate proof that our faculty at Edison has other interests and HOBBIES besides that of teaching. These HOBBIES—traveling, reading, science, and sports—have aided them in their work. Pursuing their HOBBIES gives them an opportunity to forget their work's responsibilities and enjoy themselves.
