Mr. Gusy -combines history and coaching football during school hours . . . and is very successful in both . . . after business ho golfs and bowls lust for the sport of it . . . also totes a bat for his baseball nine. Miss Ballou has advised many ninth grade students, through thoir study of community life problems. how to plan their futures . . . her hobbles are knitting and crocheting . . . reads a variety cf things . . . Ukes to run up mileage on her car .. . made 16.000 miles since April '36. Mrs. Buckle makes us learn and love our history . .. has supplemented her already vast knowledge by traveling In tho Wost . . . especially studying the .Mexican and Indian . . . spends hor extra time In reading and gardening . . . and playing with her dog. Mr. Curran famUiarly and affectionately known as Pop” . . . has created an interest in debating and now advises Edison's debate club . . . reads biographies ol great mon . . . likes auto-mobiling and gardening. Mrs. Curry -Edison's greatest pal and cheer-leader ... in fact has charge of appointing cheerleaders . . . but by all means, doesn't lot them do all the work . . . her Interest in sports of all kinds explains this abounding enthusiasm . . . basketball, howovor. is her favorite. Miss Donovan our personal nomination as a magnUicently thorough history teacher . . . she enjoys a wido variety of historical and modern reading ... is extremely fond of walking . . . good movies, a game of cards, or dancing lessons attract her equally . . . lovos traveling so much that she sells books in the summer to get the opportunity to see our state. Miss Erb-makes economics and history alive for us . . . sponds most ol her time at her modern cottage in the North woods . . . would leave all tho comforts of home to travel in the Orient . . . likes to hike to out-of-the-wcry places to find where a road leads to . . . enjoys good classical music. Mr. Drage his scientific leanings have won for him his master's degree ... is advisor cf the Inventor's club ... his interest In telescopes led to the manufacture of one by the club . . . is chief oporator of the penny movies being shown during the lunch period ... for his outdoor recreation he hunts and flshos. Miss Harroun -has the woll-oarnod roputatlon of being tho best chomlsiry teacher-in the northwest . . . and wo defy any challengers . . . sho rides horseback ... not all the time, howover. fer sho walks a lot . . . keeps up with hor French and music by outside studying. Mr. Lein business adviser of RECORD, he also finds timo to advise the Chess Club . . . likes to play chess and bridgo . . . enjoys reading . . . also the sport of hunting. Miss Mellem can tell a pelargonulm from a orchidaceae by virtue of her position as teacher of botany . . . her Interost Is so deep that she cannot lose it, even during her leisure hours . . . she spends sparo time searching for odd flowers ... is geologically minded too. for sho enjoys finding odd shaped or markod rocks . . . she is adviser of the Carl Llnneaus Club, and is the originator of many of their joyous moments. Mr. Pile his wit makes the physics course all the more interesting ... a person whose auditorium speeches we like . . . enjoys a good rousing game of baseball or volleyball . . . reserves contract bridge for his more contemplative moods. Mrs. PoMson initiates us into the mysteries cf photosynthesis and humis clouds . . . pursues the house-wifely tasks of knitting and sewing ... is quite a reader . . . has a yon for modem novels, travol stories, and science articles . . . takes time off to hike now and then.
