The team, although organized late in the sea- son, showed steady improvement in team play as well as in individual endeavor. However, they had to settle for a 1-6 record. The victory was over New London 28-18 with Linda Lake scoring a fantastic total of 21. The varsity team members were Linda Lake, Joanne Stein, JoEllyn lsenburg, Kathy Buehrle, Robin Taylor, Cindy Gliatta, Ann Heckelman, and Joy Graham. High point for the Varsity season was taken by Ann Heckelman. Linda Lake was Most Valuable Player of the season. JoEllyn lsen- berg was the best foul shooter averaging 57 percent. The most improved player award was given to Joy Graham. The resenle basketball team finished their season with a 3-3 record. Members of the team were Libby Toler, Diane Moyer, Bonnie Garwood, Sue Heckelman, Debbie Agee, Kim Suhanic, and Melinda Booth. The coaches were Lynette Cole, varsity, and Linda Berg- stedt, reserve. The Most Valuable Player for reserves was Diane Moyer, and the most im- proved was Bonnie Garwood. The whole re- serve team received certificates. Team Names McConnell Chuck McConnell was selected most valuable golfer this year for Edison. Low score for the team was a 42 shot by freshman, Mark Sisson. This year's varsity team broke last year's total team score three times. Last year's team record was 202 strokes. This year 198, 201, and 200 were shot against St. Paul, one of the matches they won. The team also beat Firelands 9-0. The Golf team finished their season with a 2-9 record. The varsity team consisted of seniors: Dennis Boose, Chuck McConnell, Walt Frasher: sophomore, Rick Hemchakp and freshman, Mark Sisson. The reserve team freshmen Mark Stratton and Terry Gable: and sophomore Bruce Dorner. They finished with 05 record. Varsity letters were awarded to Dennis Boose, Chuck McConnell, Mark Sisson, and Rich Hemchak. Mr. David Grimm was head coach.
