Edison's next conquest was the New London Wildcats. The Chargers soundly defeated the Cats with a 13-0 victory on a mudsoaked field. The Chargers kept their finesse through the game even though they had two apparent scores called back by penalties. Facing the Western Reserve Roughriders for their fifth annual Homecoming game, the Chargers scored at least twice in each quarter to defeat the Roughriders by a lopsided score of 64-25. When the Chargers faced their perennial rival, the St. Paul Flyers they suffered their first defeat of the season. This defeat ended the Chargers' thir- teen game winning streak. The Flyers defeated Edison on a mudsoaked field by the score of 14-6. The final game of the season and a must win for the Chargers came when they faced the Mapleton Mounties on another mud spattered field. Neither team could hold on to the pigskin long enough to score although the Chargers did have a score called back by a holding penalty late in the fourth quarter. The Edison Chargers ended their season with a O-O tie with the Mounties and also losing a piece of the crown by a half a game.
