School Graduates Filth Class Commencement exercises for the fifth graduating class of Edison High School were held, Sunday, June 10 at 8 p.m. in the gymnasium. Speeches by the top four students of the 124 mem- ber class were given by Greg Hire, JoEllyn lsenberg, Stephen Shaw, and Kent Rockwell. Many graduating seniors were given recognition of achievements by Mr. Charles Hall, assistant principal at Edison. Sue Garwood was also recognized for com- pleting a vocational education course recognized by the Ohio and Berlin-Milan Board of Education. Honorary Society Awards went to Greg Hire, JoEllyn lsenberg, Steve Shaw, and Kent Rockwell. Greg also received the Certificate of Merit Award. Students receiving college scholarships were Pam Drake, Greg Hire, Dave Gormley, Cathy Hohman, Jeff Einerson, and Gene Charville. Bart Hibbard re- ceived an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy presented to him by Lt. Col. W. S. Shepherd. Presentation of the class was made by Principal C. B. Sanders. Mr. Glen Hennings, board president, and Mr. C. J. Lindecamp, superintendent, awarded the diplomas. TOP RIGHT: Seniors entering gym for commencement exercises.
