He would like to have improvement s and a large number ofi players trying out for the football team. They had only twelve people out for the team, but they gave it their best i hot. The score against Hammond, the last game o fa the season, wat 14-6. Their belt play wat the tail back pass which really helped the team out. Thit year they had their ups and down s became o{) the limited num- ber ofi players. Next season he hopes to have more players out for the team. One student added, We are young and we look up to the older guys. They showed us a lot and we realized that losing is not neccessarily a bad thing. We learned a great deal foom the mis- takes we have made. When asked about the. season Wendy Colburn and Gretchen Brett replied, It was fan, the team worked together as a whole, not as many separ- ate individuals. Some oh the highlights far the team were winning the game against Washing- ton Township far the second year in a row and set- ting a new school record hor the most wins, twenty- one. Von’t far- get how they beat A ndrean twice in one year, especi- ally in the hirst tound oh section- als. They were down 16-3 in game one but they came back to win 21-19 in overtime. Then in game two they easily won 15-7. Another ex- citing, but close game was when they beat Ham- mond Noll in over- time 16-14 at the last regular sea- aon game on Par- ents Might. The team had an eleven match winning streak. They strived to vic- tory time and time again with the help oh en- thusiastic hoyis.
