homecoming T I his year the selection o $ who was to become Homecoming Queen and King wasn ' t easy. All o the candidate s well deceived the title, but unfortunately only one could be selected for each of the honors. The candid- ates for Queen were Jeanne Ander- son, Carrie Stetler, Stacie Childs, Hollie Varrington, Gretchen Glick, and Kelly McKitt- rick. All of the girls were excited and they all looked great, in colors ranging from bright reds to sparkling golds. But in the end the winner was Carrie Stetler. She was crowned at half time during the big game. The King can- didates were Terry Zimmerman, John Bastin, Shannon Bald win, Tony Toremski, Hyon Jin Kwak, and Mtfee Scheuer. The choice of King was just as, if not more difficult than that of Queen. But the decision was made and it so happened that John Bastin, alais Bubba Bastin was c rowned King at the Powder-Puff Any- thing Goes games. The Home- coming Vance was Jeanne Anderson es- zmski. carted by Tony For- C OACt on the Saturday fol- tended and all will lowing the game. remember the night Ninety couples at- for years to come. HOHECOHINQ: T I he crowd is silent, the drum roll increases and as the candidates await the results, last year ' s Home- coming Queen walks onto the fri eld wondering which lad.y will take over the reign as Home- coming Queen. Finally, the queen has been chosen, and the lucky recipient this year is Car- rie Stetler! As tears fall her eyes she expresses her joy by hugging her fellow can- didates. Trad- itionally, as a queen, she re- ceived a crown and bouquet ofr roses. The night was frilled with laughter and cheer fror some couples, and romance fror others, but fror Carrie Stetler this was a mem- ory fror lifre, bieng crowned as the 1987-88 Home- coming Queen. The Home- coming Vance was on the Saturday frollowing the game. Ninety couples at- tended and all will remember the night fror years to come.
